Abby and Angel’s love story began not on a dating app or at a social gathering—but behind the counter at Firehouse Subs. Abby had just taken her first job there, hoping to earn a little spending money between her classtime. What she didn’t expect was to meet someone she’d want to spend her life with. Angel, thoughtful and sincere, found himself increasingly drawn to Abby’s warmth and humor. Seeking to spend more time with her, he approached Abby’s dad for advice. The answer? “We’d love to have you join us at church.”

So Angel did just that—trading break time for Sunday school discussions at Central Baptist Church. As sandwiches gave way to scripture, and dinner rushes turned into long conversations, their friendship deepened into love. In April of 2025, Angel got down on one knee and asked Abby to spend forever with him. She said yes—and the rest of their story begins now.
